The Chef is required to deliver food services consistent with the approved Manuals using our approved recipes. Experience in producing 100 plus covers per service while maintaining quality in a timely fashion. Excellent working conditions and hours. We are seeking a casual or Permanent Part Time Chef. We have shifts available on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Responsibilities:All aspects of food preparation & cooking, presentation and serving of meals and snacks, which are palatable and nutritious, using the MHCG recipes and menus. Present food in an attractive manner and serve at the correct temperature and time.Ensure that food is prepared in appropriate quantities to meet the residents’ menu choice whilst considering residents’ food preferences and substitute alternatives when required.Prepare cultural / religious meals and programmed lifestyle activities to meet resident needs.Liaise with Chef Manager/Care Manager for residents requiring preparation of special diets (e.g. diabetic, low protein, textured modified, thickened fluids, reduction etc).Responsible for the ordering, storage and labelling of food as required by the MHCG menu and approved special orders.Participate and contribute to effective teamwork through communication, organising of activities and sharing of duties across the Food Services team.Maintaining the kitchen and equipment is up to Food Health and Safety standard for inspections and operations.  Key Requirements:Experience in commercial catering or other food serviceTAFE approved Commercial Cookery Course or equivalentCertificate in Food Handling and HygieneMaintaining equipment and organising equipment servicesFamiliarity with state Food Handling Regulations/HACCPOrganisational and management abilityGood communications skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as a member of a teamCurrent Police CheckValid Working Rights If you are successful in this role, we will provide you with several employee benefits:Confidential Employee Assistance ProgramSubsidised meals prepared by our ChefsEmployee of the Month Award - $100 vouchersOn the Spot' Appreciation AwardsExtensive orientation and education programOpportunities for rotation of roles across all Moran Group homesUniforms If you are interested in joining a team of passionate hardworking professionals don’t delay, apply now. 25 AUD Sylvania 2224
