Proudly Celebrating Success

Today was a very proud day for our employees, their families and residents at Moran Roxburgh Park with eleven team members celebrating their official graduations in: –

  • Cert IV in Ageing Support
  • Diploma in Practice Management & Competitive Systems
  • Advanced Diploma of Competitive Systems & Practice

Said General Manager, Darinka Rozanic – “I am so excited that this team are the first graduating group through the Moran Roxburgh Park staff development program”.  I am also very proud to have been on this journey with them as a fellow student, having taken and passed the Advanced Diploma of Competitive Systems and Practices myself.

The Moran Roxburgh Park team members worked extremely hard to complete their course work and training during 2019.  For many this built on their Certificate III and Certificate IV in Nursing.

Advanced Diploma of Competitive Systems & Practice graduate Maria Smith said “One of the most satisfying things about taking a qualification related to my role was that we identified and developed real, meaningful improvement projects.  These were implemented as quality improvements which saved time in other areas so that we gained more time to support our residents.”

The staff development program was sparked by a new resident to Moran Roxburgh Park, Paulene who lives with MS. Paulene was the first resident to move into the Young Persons wing, a residential area dedicated to supporting the needs of younger people in aged care.   As part of the planning and preparation for supporting Paulene, the team set about learning about MS, from that first taste of education, the development program started.

Said Jennifer Dempsey, Chief of Operations – “As someone who is personally committed to lifelong learning, it was great to see everyone looking so proud of what they have achieved.  They are a highly motivated bunch and I know that they have the drive and commitment to take the skills they have learned further.”

Moran Roxburgh Park worked in partnership with Vative Healthcare Training who provided the education onsite.  Moran were committed to training staff in the workplace and saw the team’s confidence in their skills blossom with the nurturing of the trainers and encouragement from their work colleagues.

Moran Roxburgh Park offers residential aged care, respite or short stay care, specialist dementia care and palliative care.
