Visiting our Homes

Visitors are asked to place the wellbeing of their loved one at the centre of their decision making when considering if they should visit.  Visitor restrictions vary between Moran Aged Care homes however we will always endeavour to work with families to enable much needed support visits where a resident’s health deteriorates and will continue to facilitate Telephone, Facetime, Skype and CareApp contact with family members.

Our visitor arrangements are in line with government directions and are consistent with the Industry Code for Visiting Aged Care Homes during COVID-19.

All Visitors

  • are strongly recommended to have had the current Flu Vaccination (babies under 6 months are exempt)
  • will be screened on arrival to our home
  • the screening will include exclusions based on recent COVID-19 hotspots – please read more here (NSW) or here (VIC)
  • must practice social distancing – no kissing, hugging or shaking hands
  • must maintain hand and respiratory hygiene
  • are required to watch our Safe Visiting Video, if you have not watched it please do so below or on YouTube HERE

It is paramount that anyone who has been asked to isolate at home by a Public Health Unit follows the advice provided. i.e. if the Public Health Unit directs you to have a COVID-19 test and the result is negative you are still required to isolate for 14 days.

If you voluntarily decide to have a COVID-19 test and it is negative, you are not required to isolate for 14 days, BUT you must not visit a Moran Home if you feel unwell or have any COVID-19 symptoms.
